Manchester United had scouts in attendance to see Arnaut Danjuma score his sixth Champions League goal of the season in Villarreal’s 1-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, according to the Daily Mail.
The Dutchman, who only made the €25m (£21m) move from Bournemouth in the summer, has been receiving rave reviews, with the Mail even claiming he has “earned comparisons” with Kylian Mbappe.
Although he has a long way to go to match the exploits of the French World Cup winner, Danjuma’s star is firmly on the rise, with his goal in midweek his 14th in all competitions this campaign.
The 25-year-old impressed playing against United in the group stages and it looks as though the Manchester club’s interest in the player has increased since then.
They won’t be the only team pursuing Danjuma, though, with both Liverpool and West Ham having also been mentioned as potential suitors in recent months. He also has a £64m release clause in his contract.
