Manchester United are “still keeping tabs” on Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, with the Malian international closing in on the final year of his contract with the Seagulls, according to 90min.com.

Graham Potter’s side are keen to tie down the 25-year-old to a new deal but it is believed that the player “wants to leave” the Amex at the end of the season.

The news will reportedly spark a race for Bissouma’s signature. In addition to United, Arsenal and Aston Villa are keen admirers of the midfielder, while Liverpool, Leicester, Newcastle and Monaco have also scouted him in the past.

United will be looking to strengthen their options in the middle of the park this summer, with the likes of Declan Rice, Aurelien Tchouameni, Boubacar Kamara, Ruben Neves and Amadou Haidara having all been linked over the past few months.

Bissouma would be one of the cheapest solutions on the market, considering his contract situation, but competition for his signature will still be fierce.
