Manchester United “insist” that they haven’t made a bid for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to journalist Samuel Luckhurst.
The Manchester Evening News‘s United correspondent says the Red Devils are being linked with the Frenchman as Barca have been offering the player to anyone who would be interested in buying him this month:
In more trivial news, #mufc insist they haven’t bid for Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona keep linking him with United in an effort to alert someone who might actually buy him.

Paris Saint-Germain had emerged as favourites for Dembele but it has since been reported that the Ligue One club may only sign him when he is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The latest twist in the story seems to involve Arsenal, though. Barcelona are said to have offered the 24-year-old as part of the deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the Gunners.
Whether that will go ahead before the transfer deadline tonight, we shall have to wait and see, but it seems clear that United won’t be getting involved in discussions when it comes to Dembele.
