Manchester United will turn their focus towards West Ham midfielder Declan Rice after clinching deals for Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website reports that the Red Devils now have a “firm objective” to strengthen in the middle of the park, and they have identified Rice as their main target.

Chelsea and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the England international, and it will be a very difficult transfer to complete due to the player’s asking price.

The Hammers are reportedly demanding around £100m for Rice, but the player himself is open to a move away from the London Stadium, having recently turned down two new contract offers.

Rice has asked to be kept informed if a bid is made for him, and he has ambitions of playing in the Champions League. United may need to raise funds by selling some players first before making their move but we shall see if there is any movement nearer to the end of the transfer window.
