Arsenal could step up their interest in Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara if they are unable to secure other targets soon, according to reports in England.

The Gunners have been linked with the likes of Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli in recent weeks but neither deal is thought to be close.

It has been claimed that Neves’ asking price is £45m while Locatelli has prioritised a move to Juventus. If both transfers fail to materialise, it seems the English club will make a move for Kamara instead.

The Finnish international, who has 34 caps for his country, is said to be valued at around £10m by Rangers, although that figure could rise if there is enough competition for the player’s signature.

West Ham and Everton have also been mentioned as potential suitors, while there is believed to be interest from teams in continental Europe. However, there has been no formal approach for Kamara so far this summer, and Gers supporters will be hoping it stays that way.
