Feyenoord winger Crysencio Summerville says he fully intends to stay at the Eredivisie side following claims that he could leave the Netherlands this summer.

Reports in the Dutch media earlier this month had linked Rangers, Red Bull Salzburg, Anderlecht and Wolves with a move for the 18-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

However, Summerville has spoken out on his future, with the teenager saying he is ready to commit his long term future to Feyenoord, as long as they see him as part of their first-team plans:

“The teams that are interested in me are beautiful clubs. But that would be another step for me and I don’t think about moving at all. All my thoughts are with Feyenoord. We are talking about a new contract and it’s all about what is best for me. The conversations are going well. For me, it’s not about money.”

“The financial side of the contract is the very last thing on my mind. It’s about what is my best path for my career. It’s not even about just next season, it’s about the long-term and I want to feel Feyenoord trust me. I want to play at De Kuip every week and be one of the club’s important players.”

Summerville spent last campaign on loan at ADO Den Haag, making 21 appearances in all competitions, and he has yet to make his first-team debut for his parent club.

It is likely that the youngster is waiting to see where he features in manager Dick Advocaat’s plans for the new season, but it looks unlikely that he’ll be leaving Feyenoord any time soon.
