Leeds United are still keeping tabs on Rangers winger Ryan Kent, according to reports in the UK.
It was believed that the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa had ended the English Premier League side’s interest in the 25-year-old, with Bielsa said to be the one pushing for the club to go after the ex-Liverpool player.
However, it seems Leeds are continuing to watch Kent, and they may yet take advantage of the forward’s contract situation.
The Englishman has just over fifteen months remaining on his current deal with the Gers and, while the Scottish champions are keen to hold talks over extending his stay at the club, there is some concern about whether he is open to signing on the dotted line.
If he isn’t willing to put pen to paper, Rangers will have a decision to make. Kent is thought to have a £20m release clause, but there is very little chance the club will receive anything close to that figure in the summer, with his current contract running into its final year.
