The Spaniard played alongside the Rangers boss at Liverpool for three and a half years, and he believes he could even go on to manage the Reds:

“I am sure he will be successful and who would not love to see Stevie in the Anfield dugout one day? It will be the perfect picture to see him coaching Liverpool to trophies.”
Gerrard has now endured his second season at Ibrox without a trophy, with the 40-year-old having questioned his future at one point during the campaign.
However, there have been signs of progress during his tenure at the club, with wins at Celtic Park as well as a narrow Betfred Cup final defeat to the Old Firm rivals back in December.
Even so, he will not be deemed a success at the Light Blues unless he begins to win silverware and knocks the Hoops off their perch in Scottish football.
Torres seems to be confident that will happen but Gerrard will need to prove it on the pitch over the next twelve months.
