Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor was scathing about the team’s performance after Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Hamilton.
The Accies’ last-minute equaliser was fully deserved with manager Steven Gerrard stating that his side were lucky to come away with a point, and McGregor was equally disappointed with what he saw from his teammates.
Supporters on Twitter have backed McGregor following his comments and they believe that the 39-year-old is setting the standards that others in the first-team squad must look to match in upcoming fixtures:

He’s ? correct. Love the honesty and the fact he simply can’t hide his feelings.

This man is a winner…he knows how to do it and the rest of the players must react to what he said. #watp #NoSurrender.

Give him a 10yr contract & keep him in the team for as long as possible, his presence alone on the pitch is equal to his world class saves

McGregor was one of the main reasons why Hamilton were only able to score one goal in the stalemate. The veteran pulled off a string of excellent saves on the day.
Both Gerrard and McGregor will be expecting a much-improved display when Rangers take on Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday. The players need to keep their focus, despite their sizeable lead over Celtic, as they look to secure title number 55.
