Rangers will consider loaning out Jordan Jones during the January transfer window, and could even look to sell him this month, according to reports in the UK.
The 26-year-old was banned for seven games following a breach in regulations related to the virus, and he doesn’t appear to have a future at Ibrox.
Jones has looked pretty decent when given opportunities by manager Steven Gerrard this season but fans on Twitter do understand that the Northern Ireland international’s indiscipline means his departure was always likely:
Hope we can get some decent money for him at least Jamesie. Yes he had a horrible lapse in judgement, but the lad can play a bit when he wants to.

Always had high hopes for him. I still think there’s a player in there, but it’s obvious his attitude isnt the best.

Had the chance of a lifetime, but his ego is much bigger than his work ethic. Time to punt on.

Pity liked him but he’s pushed his luck ever since he arrived and SG has had it by the looks of it.

Id put him on loan to another decent spl team eg st mirren – potentially hurt celtic in games v them

Under achiever for us has a couple of goals in the time he has been with us thought he would have been a great player for us but he didn’t have the impact I thought he would’ve had probably go on to a new team and score a barrel load just the way it works out for some I suppose

Talent isn’t everything, and it has to be married with the right attitude if you are to succeed at the top level. The indications are Jones simply doesn’t have the right mindset to play for Rangers.
A number of English Championship and League One clubs are said to be after the Northern Irishman so there is likely to be movement before the transfer window closes in a few weeks time.
