Rangers winger Ryan Kent will be a transfer target for a number of English Premier League teams, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The reporter, who usually focuses on breaking stories about transfers in the EFL, says that he has it on good authority that Kent is being watched ahead of the January transfer window:
“I think that Kent will definitely be a target for several clubs in the Premier League.”
Kent spoke out about his situation very recently, stating that his “immediate future” is with the Light Blues but he didn’t make any commitment to stay for the long term.
His current deal with the Gers expires in 2023 and, with eighteen months left on his contract, the Scottish champions will soon have to decide whether to sell him or not.
Former manager Steven Gerrard is reportedly keen on bringing Kent to Aston Villa, although no credible journalist has so far stated that the Midlands club will actively make a move for the former Liverpool player.
Leeds have also looked at the 25-year-old, but their decision to snap up Daniel James from Manchester United in the summer is likely to have ended their interest. Fans will be hoping the winger ends the transfer speculation by signing a contract extension instead.
