Watford have opened discussions with Rangers about signing midfielder Glen Kamara, according to journalist Gianluigi Longari.
The Italian reporter claims the Hornets are hedging their bets in terms of transfer targets, as they are also interested in Lens’ Seko Fofana:
#Watford dialoghi in corso con i #Rangers per il centrocampista Glen #Kamara. Obiettivo principale resta però Seko #Fofana attualmente in forza al #Lens. @tvdellosport #WFC

Supporters on Twitter have been pretty dismissive of the story, with many discrediting the report, believing Kamara would not be interested in a switch to Vicarage Road:

Seems the usual english retoric of confusing big with rich. Watford are a small team, the Dumbarton of English football if you will.

While a move to the Hornets might not happen, Kamara’s contract situation remains a concern. The Finnish international may still have two years remaining on his current deal but, despite starting negotiations over an extension many months ago, there are no signs that he is ready to commit to fresh terms.
Arsenal, Burnley, Leeds and Southampton are also thought to be interested in the 25-year-old, and it will be hoped that the Light Blues can come to an agreement with the player about his contract soon.
