Rangers have decided against signing Aaron Ramsey on a permanent basis from Juventus at the end of the season, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Welshman is currently on loan at the Scottish champions until the summer, with Juve said to be paying the majority of the player’s £400,000 a week wages.
However, it seems as if the Gers are not keen on keeping him, with Ramsey expected to return to Italy when his loan expires in May. The ex-Arsenal star has had a difficult start to life in Scotland, due to injury problems.
So far, the 31-year-old has made just four appearances for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, with only one of those being a start, which came against Annan Athletic in the Scottish Cup.
If he does return to Juventus as expected, Ramsey is unlikely to remain at Juventus for long, with some reports suggesting that the Serie A club will try to terminate his contract.
