Rangers are one of a number of clubs who are keeping tabs on Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard’s situation at the English Premier League club, according to TEAMTalk.

The website claims that the Light Blues, Old Firm rivals Celtic, Everton, Aston Villa, Spurs and West Brom are all potential destinations for the 27-year-old, who has had very little game time this season.

Lingard, who has been capped 24 times by England, has played just two games in the Carabao Cup and has only made the matchday squad for league matches on two occasions.

The forward’s current deal expires in the summer but United do have the option to extend for another year. However, the player is considering his options and he may ask to leave if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not offer him more chances to play.

It’s unlikely that United will let him go for free, so they may trigger his contract extension before making him available for transfer. Whether Rangers would still be interested if that happens, we shall see.
