Brighton & Hove Albion have enquired about Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to Rincon Escoces. The source claims that the Seagulls have only held informal conversations with the Scottish club so far and it remains to be seen whether they will follow up their interest with a bid in the January transfer window.

Light Blues boss Steven Gerrard has previously said that he is keen to extend the Finnish international’s contract at Ibrox but those talks have yet to lead to a new deal being signed.
Kamara has been in superb form this season, with his performance in the Old Firm derby back in October one of the main highlights. His displays won’t have gone unnoticed though and reports in recent months have linked the 25-year-old with Arsenal, as well as West Ham, Leeds and Sheffield United.
Gerrard will be keen to keep the midfielder until the end of the season, at least, to help the Gers secure title number 55.
