Bassey’s inclusion, in particular, is well deserved. The defender was outstanding during his second season in Scotland, proving himself to be a very capable centre-back, as well as left-back. He is now attracting interest from the likes of Aston Villa and West Ham.
Tavernier had another excellent campaign as well, with his 18 goals and 17 assists in all competitions demonstrating the club captain’s outstanding qualities in the final third of the pitch.
Aribo, meanwhile, had his best scoring season in a Light Blues shirt and the Nigerian international’s ability to play in multiple positions has proven vital over the last twelve months.
