Rangers will challenge the likes of Leicester and Brighton in trying to secure the services of Milwall forward Zak Lovelace, according to the Daily Record.

The 15-year-old became the English Championship side’s second youngest debutant when he came on as a substitute against Coventry City back in December.

However, despite Lovelace being very highly rated by his club, he has yet to sign a professional contract, meaning the Gers and other teams can snap him up without paying a sizeable fee.

The Daily Record claims that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side have “watched him regularly” this season, and they are keen on persuading the teenager into moving to Ibrox.

Considering the competition for Lovelace’s signature, it will be an uphill task. Nonetheless, the striker is a very promising young talent and, if he does decide to move north of the border, it would be a massive coup for the Scottish champions.
