West Ham are weighing up a move for Rangers centre-back Connor Goldson in the January transfer window, according to reports in the English media.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and he has yet to agree a new deal with the Light Blues.
The Hammers could look to snap up Goldson on a pre-contract agreement in the New Year but it seems they may look to clinch a deal before then.
It would be a surprise if the English Premier League side do make an approach for Goldson, considering they only recently paid £25m for Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma.
However, it is believed that West Ham boss David Moyes is looking to replace either Craig Dawson or Angelo Ogbonna, who are both in their 30s.
From a Rangers perspective, fans will be hoping that Goldson will opt to sign a new contract. Whether there is still a possibility of that happening, it isn’t known, but it would be a blow for manager Steven Gerrard if the defender is sold before the end of the season.
