West Ham will sign Tomas Soucek for £16.5m if and when they secure their Premier League status, according to reports in England.
The Czech international is currently on loan from Slavia Prague but a transfer fee was also agreed so he could move on a permanent basis if the Hammers’ stayed in the top flight.
Considering the form Soucek has been in since the restart, fans on Twitter think it will be money well spent:

He’s the first box to box midfielder we’ve had since Kouyate. When Kouyate was decent. He’s definitely an upgrade.

It is not always easy to adapt to a new country, especially when you are coming from a league which doesn’t have the highest quality of football.
However, Soucek looks perfectly suited to the English game, with his height and physicality making him a tremendous asset. The three-month break in fixtures also likely helped him to settle at his new club and he has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks.
