West Ham have narrowed down their shortlist of striker targets to four names, according to insider source exWHUemployee.

Speaking on TheWest Ham Way podcast, he said that Hammers boss David Moyes and the club’s recruitment department have settled on who they want to sign:

“We will definitely try to sign a forward in summer. Toney of Brentford, En-Nesyri of Sevilla, Armstrong at Blackburn and Abraham at Chelsea. They’re all potential signings. It’s all still dependent of a few factors right now.”

All four names have been suggested as options before. Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham has been mentioned as a priority target in recent weeks, along with Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

The pursuit of Youssef En-Nesyri, though, was believed to have ended after a sizeable bid from West Ham was rejected by Sevilla in January, so it is interesting to see they are still interested in the Moroccan.

Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong has also been looked at, with Moyes hoping to replicate the success he has had with Jarrod Bowen, but reports suggest the 24-year-old could cost as much as £25m, which may put the Irons off from making an offer.
