West Ham are interested in signing Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard this summer, according to reports in the UK.
The 23-year-old will have one year left on his contract in June, and he could be available for a relatively low price. However, up until now, it has been assumed that the Hammers were prioritising a move for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and fans on Twitter are not sure Edouard is a good alternative:
He’s class, but he’s very lazy

Unproven but has a similar record to dembele who played for them, so could be worth it if not too expensive

Edouard has scored 20 goals in 35 appearances this season, but the standard of the Scottish league means those figures can’t be used as a true barometer of his abilities.
Even so, the Frenchman is a player who is in high demand. Reports suggest that Arsenal, Leicester, AC Milan and Roma are also keeping tabs on the forward.
West Ham boss David Moyes will be looking to bring in a new striker at the end of the season, but whether Edouard has been identified as the man to strengthen their options up front, we shall have to wait and see.
