Chelsea will likely test the waters by making a £60m bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to reports in the English media.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also thought to be interested in the 22-year-old, who has turned down two proposals to extend his contract at the London Stadium.
Despite uncertainty over Rice’s future, though, supporters on Twitter don’t think that the Hammers should back down on their asking price, with many hoping that the London club will hold out for between £80m and £100m:

No one cares what you value him at, because we value him to be more than 80 million

More. And yet there is no way back as of right now anyway

Better have some players involved in a deal, like Tammy and Gallagher, because if it’s only money, will be pocketed by the owners.

There are a lot of unsubstantiated claims about Rice at the moment. The midfielder is unlikely to agitate for a move but it seems he does have ambitions of playing in the Champions League.
The fact that he is unlikely to hand in a transfer request, though, suggests that West Ham are still in a position of strength in terms of trying to keep him this summer.
