Serie A club Genoa could well take Jack Wilshere off West Ham’s hands, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
The reporter, who has a chequered track record, to say the least, with transfer rumours, claims the Italian side may make their move for the ex-Arsenal midfielder in the next two to three days:
#Genoa are interested in #WestHam midfielder Jack #Wilshere, who could leave #Hammers in the next few days. #transfers #WHUFC

West Ham have reportedly been trying to get Wilshere off their books all summer. The 28-year-old has less than one year left on his contract at the club but he is earning around £100,000 a week. It’s likely they’d be open to a free transfer if Genoa firmed up their interest in the player.
Manager David Moyes didn’t even include the midfielder in the matchday squad for the 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle last night and the writing does look to be on the wall for the former England international.
Since signing for the Hammers two years ago, Wilshere has made just 18 appearances in all competitions, mainly due to injuries.
