Michael Owen does not expect West Ham to come away with any points when they face Chelsea at the London Stadium this evening.

The BT Sport pundit can’t see any way for the Hammers to get a win or even a draw against a confident Blues’ side who are looking to make it four wins from four since the return of football:

“How West Ham will be hoping for a repeat of the scoreline when they met back in November at Stamford Bridge. On that day, West Ham finished 1-0 winners thanks to an Aaron Cresswell goal early in the second half.”

“However, I think Chelsea will burst West Ham’s bubbles and come away from the London Stadium with a 2-1 win to heap more trouble onto David Moyes’ shoulders.”

Owen’s prediction is hard to argue with considering the poor form that West Ham are in at the moment. It’s difficult to see where the goals are going to come from, especially with Sebastien Haller still sidelined with a hip problem.

Manager David Moyes is likely to sit men behind the ball, as he did last time out against Spurs, but with the Irons needing points on the board in their fight against relegation, fans would have hoped for a more expansive approach to get them out of trouble.
