West Ham Ham manager David Moyes is interested in bringing Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans to the London Stadium this summer, according to reports in the UK.
The Belgian international will have only a year left on his contract with the Foxes at the end of the season and it has even been claimed in the Belgian press that he may be sold for just €40m (£33m).
However, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United also said to be targeting Tielemans, most supporters on Twitter are not optimistic about the club’s chances of signing the player:
Oh yes please!

That’s it. Chase the players bigger clubs are chasing. Better ways of using the same money

Yawn…. Never going to happen is it. Just like the other 100 players we was “ interested “ in 🥱

Massive nonsense but still, imagine Dec, Soucek and Tielemans in a midfield trio 😳

Great, though I have to wonder why he would wish to swap Leicester for West Ham unless things change it would be a sideways move at best, some would say a move a little downwards considering their present set up compared to ours. Perhaps he has a penchant for pie mash.

Very talented player. Strong, mobile, very skilful, great engine – he has pretty much all that is needed in a top class midfielder. Would be a wonderful addition to the playing staff at West Ham. Wouldn’t come cheap but then sometimes it is necessary to pay for a diamond addition

😂😂
It really is laughable, there is zero chance Leicester would sell him to us, & zero chance he’d want to come to us, he’ll go Liverpool I reckon— Roger-J (@Roger_J_coyi) February 16, 2022
Any move for Tielemans will very much depend on where the Hammers finish this campaign. If they do manage to secure Champions League qualification ahead of the likes of the Gunners and United, a deal could be possible.
Tielemans is believed to harbour ambitions of playing in Europe’s top competition so, for a move to happen, finishing fourth is crucial.
