West Ham are one of four teams who are “interested” in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reports that the Hammers, Crystal Palace, Watford and Bayer Leverkusen are all monitoring the 22-year-old’s situation:
Eddie Nketiah received a new contract proposal from Arsenal days ago, as reported by @theathleticuk. There’s still nothing agreed as of today. ⚪️? #AFC
West Ham, Watford, Crystal Palace are interested. Bayer Leverkusen are pushing since months to sign him on a permanent deal.

Nketiah has one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates, and while the Gunners have offered him an extension, the player is not thought to be keen on signing a new deal, unless he gets some guarantees regarding first-team football.
The former England Under 21 international started only four league matches for Arsenal last season and manager Mikel Arteta did not even use him as a substitute during the run-in.
In terms of where Nketiah fits in terms of West Ham’s priorities, it is not known. Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham is said to be Irons boss David Moyes’ number one target, but his £40m asking price is proving prohibitive so alternatives, like Nketiah, are likely to be considered.
