Lazio are weighing up re-signing West Ham attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson following David Silva’s decision to snub the Serie A club and move to Real Sociedad, according to reports in Italy.
The Brazilian was sold by Lazio to the Hammers for £36m two years ago, but there has been growing speculation that the player could return to his former team this summer.
Lazio are not the only team reportedly interested in Anderson, with Arsenal having been tipped to make a move for the 27-year-old. The Gunners’ technical director Edu is believed to be a fan of the midfielder.
A return to Italy does appear to be more likely, although Lazio are also said to be considering a move for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez as a potential alternative.
The key issue will be whether the Italian side have the resources to finance a transfer. Irons boss David Moyes needs money from players sales in order to generate funds for his own plans, and he is reportedly prepared to let Anderson leave for the right price.
