West Ham forward Jesse Lingard scored his third goal in four games to help the Hammers secure a vital 2-1 win over Tottenham in the London derby yesterday afternoon.
Since joining from Manchester United on loan last month, the 28-year-old has been in excellent form, and Irons supporters have been calling on the club to sign him on a permanent basis. However, supporters from his parent club have also weighed in on the debate:
Sign him up #Hammers

We would want 30M for him in the summer. Or we will give you 25M plus Jesse for Declan

West ham should consider keeping him permanently

It’s disappointing that West Ham weren’t able to secure a purchase option on Lingard before he signed for the club in the January transfer window. However, he will only have a year remaining on his contract in the summer so if he is sold by the Red Devils, they won’t be able to ask for a significant fee.
The main concern, though, will be if Lingard does so well that United decide to keep the England international and offer him first-team football next season.
