West Ham have reportedly held talks about signing Lille forward Jonathan David. The 21-year-old is the top scorer in Ligue One currently but he could be sold in the January transfer window.
Fans on Twitter are excited by the prospect of signing David, although some are not sure whether to believe the rumours:
That would be amazing!

David’s price tag varies depending on the source you read, with some saying Lille will make him available for as little as €35m (£29.8m), while others suggest that his value is €50m (£42.6m).
Considering the reported interest from other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal, though, you would have to think the higher valuation is more realistic.
Signing David could, therefore, be a tough ask, even if West Ham have opened negotiations. It would, however, be a tremendous coup if he were to end up at the London Stadium next month, considering the potential that the Canadian possesses.
