West Ham will make a formal bid for FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral on Thursday, according to reports in the Brazilian media.
The 23-year-old has an asking price of €15m (£12.5m) and it remains to be seen what sort of offer the Hammers will make for the Brazilian.
After signing Albian Ajeti from Swiss football previously, some fans on Twitter are worried that Cabral will be another flop, while others are concerned that West Ham will table a lowball bid:
This screams Ajeti all over again

I’m afraid of Albian Ajeti 2.0. Hope I’m wrong though.

It does make me laugh how we have submitted offers for strikers at this rate we will have 4or5 at the club…I do like the rumour about Gabigol though…

Signing Cabral will be a risk, but his performances in the Swiss Super League have been very impressive this season, attracting interest from Barcelona and Arsenal.
The forward is recording eye-catching numbers (27 goals in 31 appearances) and it should be pointed out that Ajeti never really got close to those figures when he was playing in Switzerland.
With the Irons being linked with a host of strikers, Cabral may not be the number one target anyway so we shall see whether he ends up at the London Stadium.
