West Ham centre-back Kurt Zouma put in a commanding performance as the Hammers secured a narrow 1-0 win over Tottenham yesterday afternoon.
The summer signing from Chelsea kept Harry Kane quiet throughout the 90 minutes, helping his team keep a clean sheet in the London derby.
Fans on Twitter were full of praise for Zouma after the game, with many claiming he has already proven to be an outstanding addition to the first-team squad:
We took Chelsea’s best defender for less than 30m 👍

Has he let Kane out of his pocket yet?

The 26-year-old was dominant in the air and used his pace to provide cover for his teammates. Along with Declan Rice, the defender was the top performer on the day, as they restricted their opponents to very few opportunities.
Costing a reported £26m, Hammers boss David Moyes seems to have picked up a bargain in Zouma and it will be hoped that the France international can keep up this level of consistency throughout the course of the season.
