West Ham and Arsenal will fight it out for Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer after it emerged that the Toffees are willing to cash in on the striker, according to reports in England.

The Hammers are believed to have enquired about the England international during the January transfer window only to be put off by the player’s £60m price tag.

However, it is likely that Calvert-Lewin will be offloaded for a lower amount at the end of the season, with Everton keen to provide manager Frank Lampard with funds to revamp his squad.

West Ham have been trying to buy a forward for the best part of eighteen months, after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax, but subsequent attempts to sign competition for Michail Antonio have ended in failure.

They made bids for both Benfica’s Darwin Nunez and Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata in January, only for both deals to collapse, so they will be hoping for a different outcome if they make a move for Calvert-Lewin.
