Stade de Reims striker Boulaye Dia has said he believes that he could be sold for between €10m (£8.75m) and €15m (£13m) at the end of the season.
West Ham were heavily linked with the 24-year-old during the January transfer window, while the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Sheffield United and West Brom have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
When asked about his asking price in a recent interview with France Football magazine, Dia said he is aware of how much Reims are looking to sell him for:
“I hear that the price is fixed in relation to performance. This summer, it is between 10 and 15. That must be it.”
Whether the Hammers will return for the Senegalese international in the summer, we shall have to wait and see. The forward has scored 14 goals in 25 appearances so far this campaign, and he got a brace in his last match against Valenciennes in the French Cup on Tuesday night.
If Dia keeps up his form, West Ham manager David Moyes may well see him as a genuine candidate to reinforce his options up front.
