West Ham are weighing up a possible move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to the Sun journalist Alan Nixon:

Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with the 24-year-old over the past year but the former Celtic forward has not scored in nine appearances this season, having been used as a substitute in the last four league games.

Lyon could be open to selling Dembele for around £30m and, while that may be a bit expensive for West Ham, the Hammers do have some money to spend after opting to loan Said Benrahma rather than snap him up on a permanent basis from Brentford.

Manager David Moyes is believed to be a big fan of Dembele and, while he has struggled to find the back of the net this season, his goalscoring record, in general, is pretty good. It seems the Frenchman could well be seen as a replacement for fellow countryman Sebastien Haller, who has struggled since moving to the London Stadium.
