West Ham will have to pay around €40m (£34m) if they want to secure the services of Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere, according to reports in Belgium.

Both the Hammers and Everton were linked with the Belgian international last month, but Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid Juventus, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the player.

De Ketelaere has been in decent form this campaign, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 18 appearances, but £34m is still a very large sum for a 20-year-old who is unproven in a big European league.

Irons boss David Moyes does want to recruit hungry, young players, though, and De Ketelaere undoubtedly has massive potential. With Club Brugge expected to keep hold of the Belgian in January, it may be a transfer that West Ham decide to revisit at the end of the season.
