West Ham are “willing” to pay €10m (£9m) for Marseille right-back Bouna Sarr, according to Estadio Deportivo. The Seville based newspaper has named the Hammers, along with Sevilla, Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid as the teams who are interested in signing the 28-year-old.
The defender looks almost certain to leave the Stade Velodrome before the transfer window closes, with Marseille needing to balance the books.
Estadio Deportivo claims Sevilla are currently focused on signing his teammate Maxime Lopez but they could be tempted into signing Sarr as well if he becomes available for the right price.
In terms of West Ham’s interest, the Frenchman is likely a candidate that manager David Moyes is considering to strengthen his options on the right flank. The Irons have reportedly dropped their interest in Nottingham Forest’s Matty Cash, but they are also said to be looking at River Plate’s Gonzalo Montiel and Istanbul Basaksehir’s Junior Caicara.
