Celtic remain 50th in the UEFA Coefficient rankings which were released by the European governing body yesterday.

Glasgow rivals Rangers have moved up to 43rd in the list but both Scottish clubs are quite a way above the likes of English Premier League sides West Ham, Leicester, Wolves, Burnley and Everton who are 75th, 76th, 77th, 78th and 79th in the rankings respectively.

In terms of the top 20, Bayern Munich lead the way, with Manchester City in second, Liverpool third, Chelsea fourth and Barcelona in fifth place.

Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid round out the top 10, with Sevilla, Roma, Tottenham, Arsenal and Porto ranked behind them.

Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Shakhtar Donetsk, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg are the teams ranked 16th to 20th on UEFA’s list.

Celtic might struggle to improve their ranking if they don’t qualify for the Europa League knockout rounds. They have lost to Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen in the group stages so far, with their only win coming against Ferencvaros.
