Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney was at the top of his game as he helped the Gunners secure a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against Liverpool last night.
Mikel Arteta’s men had to play most of the game with ten men after Granit Xhaka was sent off midway through the first half, but the away side more than held their own at Anfield.
While Ben White got a lot of praise for his performance, supporters on Twitter were also keen to recognise the important contributions made by Tierney:
The best player we have

The former Celtic player is very much the leader without the armband at the moment, and he is certainly making a case for himself to be the next permanent Arsenal captain.
However, the main issue with Tierney has always been injuries. If he can stay fit and can put in this level of performance consistently, week in and week out for the rest of the campaign, then he deserves to be handed a key leadership role.
