‘He Should Be Starting Every Game’ ‘Let Him Be Our Super Sub’ Arsenal Fans Discuss Arteta’s Selection Dilemma

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe came off the bench to score for the third time in a row during the 5-0 win against Norwich yesterday evening.

The 21-year-old is the club’s top scorer in all competitions, and he is currently joint fourth for goals in the Premier League this season.

With the Gunners playing so well recently, fans on Twitter are split over whether manager Mikel Arteta should change a winning team and hand Smith Rowe more starts:

Of course he has always earned his place. The manager will eventually ease him back to the starting eleven. The current front four are also on 🔥. However, the right opportunity will always come.

Difficult to fit him in cos of Odegaard’s recent form and similar playing position. Can’t really drop any of the others right now unless we change formation to 4 attacking midfielders and Partey in front of the back four but that’s too open for us.

Things seem to be working pretty well without Smith Rowe in the starting lineup at the moment. The front four of Gabriel Martinelli, Alexandre Lacazette, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka have been excellent in recent matches.

Smith Rowe is certainly doing all he can to get himself back into the eleven with his goals but, even so, having a weapon like him on the bench gives Arteta an ace up his sleeve if things don’t go as well in upcoming games.
