Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is currently away on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America.
The Scottish champions recently shared an update on their official Twitter account regarding Morelos’s progress with his national team at the tournament, but fans on Twitter were quick to point out that he hadn’t featured in either of Colombia’s group games:
Stupid team not even playing him!!!! He scored tons in the euro league for us and such and yeah leave him out the 2nd game

Aye cool but tell them to start him. They need goals but sticking with the same group of players each game expecting a different result

Colombia that are struggling to score and he wasn’t even in the match day squad ?

It’s difficult to be interested when he’s not even made the match squad.
They don’t deserve that boy.

Morelos wasn’t even on the bench for Thursday’s 0-0 draw against Venezuela, while he was an unused substitute in the 1-0 win over Ecuador last Monday.
The striker did test positive for the virus before the tournament, which undoubtedly hindered his preparation, but he was fit enough to be selected as a sub for the opening match so it is a surprise that he hasn’t been given any game time whatsoever.
It will be interesting to see whether Morelos is back in the fold when Colombia take on Peru in their final group match later tonight.
