Celtic striker Patryk Klimala is poised to complete a move to MLS side New York Red Bulls for £3.5m, according to reports in the Scottish media.
The Hoops are expected to recoup what they paid for the Polish Under 21 international just over a year ago, but supporters on Twitter feel that the player wasn’t given a fair chance at Parkhead:
I am so sad

Never given a proper chance or run in the team…

Klimala has only scored three goals in 24 games this season, but it must be said that he has only started four matches. Since arriving from Jagiellonia Bialystok in the 2020 January transfer window, 23 of his 28 appearances have been as a substitute.
It would have been good to see the 22-year-old stick around until the next manager is appointed. They may have had a different take on his potential and given him more opportunities.
However, it looks almost certain that Klimala will be playing in the United States in the very near future.
