Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could be sidelined for between eight and ten weeks after picking up a thigh injury, according to reports in the French media.
The 28-year-old missed the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City due to suspension but it was confirmed yesterday that he had pulled out of international duty with France due to a fitness issue.
With the full extent of the injury now apparent, supporters on Twitter have been discussing the ramifications for United’s season:

If the reports do turn out to be accurate, it’s touch and go whether Pogba will be back before the Premier League winter break that starts on January 23rd next year.
It means his next game could be against Burnley on February 8th, which would lead to him missing FOURTEEN matches, including fixtures versus Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham. While some fans seem to not care too much when he makes his comeback, others will be hoping that his return date is a lot earlier than initial estimates.
