Borussia Dortmund have identified Chelsea forward Timo Werner as a potential replacement for Erling Haaland, according to reports in the German media.
Haaland is expected to leave Signal Iduna Park next year when his £64m release clause kicks in, leaving Dortmund with a hole to fill up front. It is believed that Werner is among the candidates being eyed by the Bundesliga side.
Supporters on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the story. Some have been suggesting a potential swap deal while others feel that the Blues should demand a very high price, like Dortmund did for Haaland in the summer:

Only if we get Haaland or Bellingham in a swap deal.
We also need to see Werner play with Lukaku before he let him go. As a pair they could both be amazing because they seem to work better when with a strike partner

Since arriving from RB Leipzig for £47.5m, the 25-year-old has struggled in front of goal, and it effectively forced the club into signing Romelu Lukaku to strengthen their forward line.
Werner has barely featured under manager Thomas Tuchel this campaign, having played just nine minutes of football since starting on the opening day against Crystal Palace. It does suggest that Chelsea would be open to a sale next summer for the right price.
