Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere is open to a move to Rangers, according to the Press Association journalist Andy Newport.
Although discussions have not yet been held between the player and the Light Blues, it appears the former England international would be keen to discuss a potential move to Scottish football:
Understand there have been no contact between Rangers and Jack Wilshere so far but source close to the former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder say he would be willing to consider move to Ibrox

There has been a lot of rumours about Wilshere in recent days, but this information from a respected news source has certainly got a lot of supporters discussing the potential transfer on Twitter:

Pay as you play contract.

He’s had his pay off he doesn’t need money. He wants to get back playing again

If we offer the player say 20% of sell on fee and a decent wage then it is possible. Defoe was on even more cash and we all said the same no chance. Him and Davis swapping would be perfect. One game a week each would be perfect.

As we have said previously, there are two major issues which would need to be resolved if Rangers were to go after Wilshere. The 28-year-old’s injury record is pretty appalling so some kind of break clause in the contract or pay as you play agreement would be needed.
On top of that, the player himself would have to accept a sizeable wage reduction on what he is used to in England. He may be open to that if he has a strong enough desire to play regular first-team football though.
