Michael Owen Predicts The Outcome As Manchester City Take On West Ham

BT Sport pundit Michael Owen believes Manchester City are back on the right track after recent wins against Arsenal and Porto.

The Citizens travel to face West Ham at the London Stadium in the lunchtime kickoff and, while the Hammers have been in good form themselves, he fancies Pep Guardiola’s men to come out on top this afternoon:

“Based on their last two results, it looks like City could be turning the corner. The home side pose an obvious threat given their current form, but I think the Citizens will have enough to overcome the Hammers.”

City do look like a more confident squad than they did right at the start of the season. Although there are still a number of players out injured, the return of Sergio Aguero, as well as the signing of Ruben Dias, have reinforced Guardiola’s options.

West Ham will be a threat. They won 4-0 against Wolves in their last game at home, while they have also beaten Leicester and drawn against Spurs away in recent weeks. The Irons’ defence, though, isn’t the strongest. They had to come from 3-0 down at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend so City should have enough to get the three points.
