Erling Haaland Lists His Top Three Best Players In The World

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has snubbed the likes of Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool’s Mo Salah when asked to rank his top three best players in world football.

The Norwegian international named fellow Bundesliga star Robert Lewandowski at the top of his list, with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and PSG’s Lionel Messi also getting a mention:

“That’s a good question but I think you would have to say Lewandowski number one, then you have, for me, Benzema has also been amazing, but Messi has also been outstanding – so Benzema and Messi in shared second and third place.”

Haaland himself has been tipped to become one of the best in the world in the not too distant future, and with the player reportedly set to leave Dortmund when his release clause triggers this summer, he will be in very high demand.

United are believed to have withdrawn from the race to sign the 21-year-old, but rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are said to be in the mix, along with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. Whoever gets him will be getting a bargain, considering he may only cost €75m (£62.5m).
