Barcelona have enquired about Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to the Sun.
The former Chelsea player will have twelve months left on his contract next summer and it is believed that Barca will make their move if he is made available for transfer.
Matic is now 33. He has been looking his age over the past year or so, and the Red Devils would probably be happy to offload him at the end of the season.
The Sun claim that the Manchester club may have to settle for less than £10m but, even that figure would probably be seen as good money for the Serbian, considering both his age and contract situation.
United are keen to strengthen their options in the middle of the park, with Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni and AC Milan’s Franck Kessie having been mentioned as potential signings over the past few weeks. It’s possible that one of them will come in as a replacement for Matic.
