Arsenal Battling Barcelona And Milan As ‘One Of The Sensations’ Of Brazilian Football Is ‘Offered’ For 12.8M

Barcelona have been “offered” Internacional striker Yuri Alberto, with Arsenal and AC Milan having already registered their interest in the player, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan publication describe the 20-year-old as “one of the sensations” of Brazilian football, having scored 19 goals in all competitions last season, and it appears he will be on the move in January.

Alberto was first linked with the Gunners back in June before further reports of a potential €15m (£12.8m) switch earlier this month, and these latest claims appear to back the London club’s interest in the forward.

For their part, it doesn’t appear Barca will follow up with a formal bid for Alberto, with the La Liga club’s sights currently set on luring Edinson Cavani from Manchester United.

Whether Arsenal will formalise their offer for Alberto next month, we shall have to wait and see. Technical director Edu has previous for sourcing players from Brazil (e.g. Gabriel Martinelli and Pablo Mari) so this rumour probably shouldn’t be dismissed.
