Arsenal Could Have To See Off BOTH Chelsea And Real Madrid As Race To Sign 38M Rated South American Star Heats Up

Chelsea and Real Madrid are expected to join Arsenal and Tottenham in pursuing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, according to AS.

The Spanish publication reports that Real’s manager Carclo Ancelotti and the La Liga club’s recruitment department are both fans of the Brazilian international.

Chelsea have also “conveyed” their “interest” but they are believed to be trailing in the race for Jesus’s signature after sanctions on the club were only recently lifted.

The Gunners and Spurs do still appear to be the frontrunners for Jesus’s services but City are expected to hold out for a sizeable fee before allowing the 25-year-old to leave the Etihad.

AS claim that interested clubs will have to match an asking price which stands at around the €45m (£38m) to €50m (£43m) mark, whilst also satisfying his wage demands.

Reports over the weekend suggested that the Gunners are willing to pay Jesus £190,000 a week, which would be nearly double his current salary.
