Arsenal Eye Partey Alternative As They Join West Ham And Monaco In Pursuing 21M Rated Belgian Star

Arsenal are expected to challenge West Ham and Monaco for the signature of Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, according to reports in the French media.

Lille have financial problems and they are believed to have given the Belgian permission to leave if a suitable offer comes in this summer.

Onana is a holding midfield player by trade so it is likely that the Gunners are pursuing him as cover for Thomas Partey, who has suffered a number of injuries since being signed back in 2020

Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Onana but they are currently focused on signing Aurelien Tchouameni. Coincidentally, Monaco see Onana as a potential replacement for the France international.

In terms of Onana’s price tag, it has been suggested that Lille will be looking for a fee in the region of €20m (£17m) to €25m (£21m) for the 20-year-old. We shall see if Arsenal decide to meet the valuation.
